Kate
Yin Yoga
Kate is a yoga teacher, activist, and writer from New Zealand, passionate about all things yoga, social justice, and philosophy. Kate first began practicing yoga during her university studies in Scotland, as a last resort to combat her chronic pain. After seven years of uninterrupted backpain, upon returning from volunteering with refugees in Greece, the pain spread throughout her body and became debilitating. She started practicing yoga while looking for answers in modern pain science and psychology. What she found was profound. By applying modern pain science research to the practice of yoga, meditation, and expressive writing, the pain began to heal. From that moment on she was hooked, deciding to put her energy towards the service of others through yoga, so that they may benefit from its teachings as she has.
